Bako Closes, New Linda's to Move in

Bako, the modern Cantonese restaurant that opened last year in the space once occupied by Jade Pagoda, closed its doors last week. The restaurant opened less than a year ago, and never seemed to find a firm footing in the neighborhood.

Sew Dayton is Kickstarting a new store!

 

 

Sew Dayton is hoping to open an expanded storefront in the university area this fall, and is looking to the community for help. The goal of the owners is to create an informal gathering place for the region's craft and sewing community where people can come to talk, teach, and learn. To achiveve this, they have launched a Kickstarter project to raise the final $5,000 they need for rent. If the project is successful, look for Sew Dayton to open around Christmas. We'll keep you updated!

KSTP-TV launches New Community Web Site

Today, KSTP-TV moved several steps closer to launching it's new Community Web site.  Producers contacted people across the metro area, encouraging them to use the site and provide content.  KSTP-TV News Director Lindsay Radford hopes the site will help the news station strengthen relationships with individual communities and improve their coverage.  The official launch date is April 9th.
